Duties & Responsibilities

Carolyn Franklin serves as President of the Disciple Women’s Ministry at Cedar Grove Christian Church. In this role, she provides leadership, encouragement, and support to the women of the church while helping guide ministry activities, fellowship, outreach, and spiritual growth.

She works to create opportunities for women to strengthen their faith, build meaningful relationships, serve the church and community, and encourage one another through prayer, service, and Christian fellowship.

Duties & Responsibilities

As President of the Disciple Women’s Ministry, her responsibilities include:

  • Provide spiritual and organizational leadership to the Disciple Women’s Ministry.

  • Preside over regular and special meetings of the ministry.

  • Work with the Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, committee chairs, and other officers to coordinate ministry responsibilities.

  • Help establish ministry goals, priorities, programs, and activities for the year.

  • Encourage women to grow spiritually through prayer, Bible study, worship, fellowship, and Christian service.

  • Encourage active participation from women of all ages and generations within the congregation.

  • Help plan and coordinate Women’s Day programs, special services, fellowships, workshops, outreach activities, and other ministry events.

  • Support and encourage women who are called to leadership, teaching, ministry, and other areas of Christian service.

  • Provide encouragement and support to women experiencing sickness, bereavement, hardship, or other life challenges.

  • Promote fellowship, unity, compassion, respect, and cooperation among the women of the church.

  • Encourage visitation and outreach to the sick, shut-in, elderly, and others who may need prayer or support.

  • Work with the Community Chair and other ministry leaders to identify and support community outreach opportunities.

  • Encourage the Disciple Women to participate in church-wide programs, worship services, outreach efforts, and special events.

  • Communicate important ministry information, responsibilities, and upcoming activities to officers and members.

  • Delegate responsibilities appropriately and encourage officers and committee chairs to fulfill their assigned duties.

  • Provide guidance and support to Disciple Women officers and committee leaders.

  • Help identify and mentor future women leaders within the church.

  • Work cooperatively with the Senior Pastor, church leadership, and other ministries in support of the overall mission of Cedar Grove Christian Church.

  • Represent the Disciple Women’s Ministry at appropriate church meetings, programs, and community activities.

  • Help ensure ministry business and activities are conducted with accountability, organization, and Christian integrity.

  • Promote an atmosphere where women feel welcomed, valued, encouraged, and empowered to use their God-given gifts.

  • Perform other responsibilities necessary to support the purpose and mission of the Disciple Women’s Ministry.

Purpose

The President of the Disciple Women’s Ministry leads women in developing a stronger relationship with God while encouraging them to use their gifts, experiences, and talents in service to the church and community.

Through faith, fellowship, prayer, leadership, outreach, mentorship, and Christian service, Carolyn Franklin helps strengthen the women of Cedar Grove and encourages them to strengthen one another.

Her leadership supports a ministry where women can grow together, pray together, serve together, encourage one another, and make a meaningful difference within Cedar Grove Christian Church and beyond its walls.
