Assistant Community Chair

The Assistant Community Chair supports the Community Chair in carrying out the church’s outreach efforts and strengthening Cedar Grove’s connection with the surrounding community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning and coordinating community outreach programs, service projects, donation drives, and special events.
  • Help identify the needs of individuals and families within the church and surrounding community.
  • Support partnerships with shelters, schools, nonprofit organizations, and other community resources.
  • Help organize volunteers and encourage church members to participate in outreach activities.
  • Assist with collecting and distributing donated items such as food, clothing, toiletries, school supplies, and other necessities.
  • Help communicate upcoming community initiatives to church members.
  • Work closely with the Community Chair, Pastor, church leadership, and other ministries.
  • Step in to assist or lead community activities when the Community Chair is unavailable.
  • Represent Cedar Grove with compassion, respect, and a spirit of Christian service.

Purpose:
The Assistant Community Chair helps Cedar Grove Christian Church put its faith into action by serving others, building relationships, and showing the love of Christ beyond the walls of the church.
