Mother of the Church

Church Mother: Margaret Strange

The Role of a Mother of the Church

A Mother of the Church is a respected woman of faith who serves as a spiritual example, mentor, and source of wisdom within the congregation. She is recognized for her dedication to God, her commitment to the church, and her love and compassion for others.

At Cedar Grove Christian Church, our Church Mothers hold a special place in our church family. Through their prayers, wisdom, encouragement, and faithful service, they help nurture the spiritual growth of our congregation and guide younger generations in their walk with Christ.

A Church Mother is not defined solely by her age or whether she has biological children, but by her faith, character, spiritual maturity, and willingness to serve others.

Our Church Mothers are honored for the lives they have touched, the examples they have set, and the love they continue to share with our church family.

Scripture: Titus 2:3–5

This passage encourages older women to live reverently and teach what is good, providing guidance and encouragement to younger generations.

At Cedar Grove Christian Church, we honor our Church Mothers for their faithful service, spiritual guidance, and the legacy of love they continue to build within our congregation.
