Elder Greg Wilson
Elder Greg Wilson is a dedicated and dependable church leader with extensive experience in ministry, organizational leadership, Christian education, and community service. With more than 27 years of involvement within the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), he has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to the faith, mission, and ministry of the Disciples of Christ.
His leadership experience extends beyond the local church. Elder Wilson served for six years as State President of TCMF, providing leadership, support, and service at the state level before concluding his service in that position approximately two years ago.
Throughout his years of ministry, he has served in church leadership, men’s ministry, board leadership, teaching, mentoring, and community outreach. He is recognized for strong communication, sound judgment, teamwork, integrity, and his ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
Elder Wilson remains dedicated and committed to the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and to serving God, the church, and the community.
Elder — Duties & Responsibilities
As an Elder, Elder Wilson provides spiritual leadership and works cooperatively with the Senior Pastor, fellow Elders, Deacons, and church leadership to promote the spiritual growth, unity, and overall welfare of Cedar Grove Christian Church.

Provide spiritual leadership, guidance, prayer, and encouragement to the congregation.

Support the Senior Pastor in carrying out the spiritual mission and ministry of the church.

Assist in serving and overseeing the Lord’s Supper (Communion).

Minister to members and families during sickness, bereavement, hardship, and other times of need.

Encourage Christian discipleship, fellowship, spiritual growth, and unity.

Assist with worship services, baptisms, special services, and other sacred responsibilities as needed.

Provide biblical guidance and encouragement to members when called upon.

Mentor and encourage men, younger members, and developing church leaders.

Support evangelism, Christian education, outreach, and community-service initiatives.

Work cooperatively with Deacons, officers, and ministry leaders in addressing the needs of the congregation.

Serve as an example of Christian character, integrity, accountability, compassion, and faithful service.

Perform other responsibilities appropriate to the office of Elder and the established practices of Cedar Grove Christian Church.
Vice Chairman — Duties & Responsibilities
As Vice Chairman of the Board, Elder Wilson assists the Board Chairman in providing leadership and helping ensure the business and administrative affairs of the church are conducted effectively, responsibly, and in an orderly manner.

Assist and support the Board Chairman in carrying out Board responsibilities.

Preside over regular or special Board meetings when the Chairman is absent or unable to serve.

Assist with preparing for Board meetings and matters requiring Board consideration.

Work collaboratively with the Senior Pastor, Board Chairman, Elders, Deacons, officers, and ministry leaders.

Help facilitate productive, respectful, and organized meetings.

Assist in ensuring decisions and assignments approved by the Board receive appropriate follow-up.

Promote accountability, communication, cooperation, and unity among church leadership.

Help identify concerns affecting the ministry, operation, growth, and welfare of the church and bring them before the appropriate leadership.

Support responsible stewardship and sound decision-making concerning church resources.

Assist with church programs, leadership initiatives, and special projects when needed.

Be prepared to fulfill the responsibilities of the Board Chairman when necessary.

Perform additional duties in accordance with the church’s governing documents and established practices.
