Worship Chair — Duties & Responsibilities

The Worship Chair helps coordinate and support the worship experience at Cedar Grove Christian Church, working with the Pastor, church leadership, Music Ministry, ushers, and other ministries to help ensure worship services are organized, welcoming, and centered on God.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and coordinating Sunday worship services and special worship programs.
• Work with the Pastor and church leadership regarding the order of worship and special service needs.
• Coordinate with the Music Ministry, choir, ushers, deacons, elders, and other participants involved in worship.
• Help ensure individuals assigned to scripture, prayer, welcome, offering, or other portions of the service are prepared.
• Assist with planning worship for special occasions, holidays, anniversaries, and church programs.
• Help maintain a worship atmosphere that is reverent, welcoming, and inclusive.
• Communicate worship-related schedules, changes, and responsibilities to the appropriate ministry leaders.
• Help identify and encourage members who would like to participate in worship.
• Address worship-service needs and help resolve scheduling or coordination issues.
• Support the Pastor’s vision and the overall mission of Cedar Grove Christian Church.

Purpose:
The Worship Chair serves as a coordinator and supporter of the church’s worship ministry, helping create an environment where all people can come together to worship, serve, and experience the presence and love of God.
